Soaking a Linden Broom.

To get the most benefit from a dry linden sauna broom during sauna procedures, while also keeping its leaves and blossoms intact, it needs to be properly soaked.

The soaking process is nothing particularly difficult. Handling linden leaves should be done much like with birch and oak brooms. The linden broom is first gently rinsed with cold water to wash away any dust. This should be done carefully to avoid shaking off the still-dry leaves. Then, hot water is poured into a basin, but not boiling water. The ideal soaking temperature is considered to be 80-90 degrees Celsius. The linden broom is placed in the basin with hot water and left there for 20-30 minutes. The basin can be covered with something to ensure that the water temperature does not drop quickly. During soaking, the leaves will become soft, and the branches elastic. It's important not to leave the broom in hot water for too long and not to exceed the necessary soaking temperature, otherwise, it will "overcook", stop holding the leaves well, and the leaf itself will become unusable.

The water in which the linden broom was soaked can be splashed onto the sauna stones, and the sauna will immediately fill with the delicate scent of linden blossom.

If you've done everything correctly, your broom will bring you a lot of positive emotions during the sauna massage.
